I swear Miley Cyrus had some cosmetic dentistry done. In fact, I think she got Lumineers. I was in a big argument with my boyfriend about it and I’d love to prove him wrong. I love her new smile so much, I’m thinking about getting them done too.

Dear Rhaya,
Looking at these photos it is difficult to tell for sure if Miley Cyrus had cosmetic dentistry done. But, there are some things we can consider to make a strong assumption.
First, let’s discuss Lumineers. Lumineers are a certain brand of porcelain veneers. There are many brands of porcelain veneers. Lumineers are actually trademarked and must be manufactured in their laboratory. They present many restrictions over other brands of porcelain veneers. Ultra-thin porcelain veneers, like Lumineers, do not require any tooth preparation. But, they do have some drawbacks. They tend to look less lifelike and many expert cosmetic dentists refuse to use them because they don’t look beautiful.
What Cosmetic Dentistry Did Miley Cyrus Have Done?
Although, Myley Cyrus hasn’t confirmed or denied what kind of cosmetic dentistry she had done, we may be able to tell more from the panoramic x-ray she had posted on social media.
When there is cosmetic dentistry done, it appears brighter white in x-rays. For example, when a crown is done on a patient, it will show up bright white. Natural tooth material tends to appear more gray. If you look closely, you will notice bright white material near the roots of the lower, middle tooth. This indicates that she has had a root canal done.
In regard to her front, upper teeth, you’ll notice some crescent white shapes. This means the material is not likely to be natural. Therefore, it is safe to assume that she has had some form of cosmetic dentistry done. It could be Lumineers, but there is no way to tell the particular brand of porcelain veneers from this x-ray.
What can be said is that she had an excellent cosmetic dentist perform the work, since it is quite natural-looking in photographs.
But, until Miley publicly acknowledges her cosmetic dentistry, we will never quite no for sure. Thank you for your question. Good luck in your debate with your boyfriend.
